Quick Victorian Dress Project Update

Just a quick update, I found a couple of other pics of the dress that inspired me. Apparently, others have made replicas of this dress (because it is so fabulous, of course). Mine is not going to be an exact replica though, just based on this dress. Anyway, here are the pics:

This is a great pic of the back of the dress, which is the best part.

Here's a better pic of the front.

I love this dress!

I love this dress by Victorian Maiden. I'm 22, and so I don't really wear super sweet or super gothic lolita styles, I go for a more casual but classic style when I wear lolita. I do love the super sweet and the super gothic styles though. Anyway, this is more my style, I just wish I could fit into it!

Victorian Maiden pink dress

Personally, I think for older lolitas, a more mature style looks better (think Victorian Maiden, not Angelic Pretty). Either that or the Aristocrat style. I prefer a less flashy, simple but classic and elegant syle, either more gothic or more lolita.
Soon I'm going to post some pics of me in some outfits I have. I don't have much egl right now, because what I did have was mostly cosplay, and I don't really want to post cosplay on this blog unless it's really good. I have a some good goth, punk, victorian, and renissance peices though. I don't really have much cyber or steampunk, because I don't really wear it, its more of an aestheic appeal to me.
So I'll post pics soon.

My Summer Project: Victorian bustle dress

So this summer, I've decided that my project is going to be a bustle dress. I want it to be comfortable, but totally cute. I'm not sure what kind of fabric I'll use yet, something totally crazy and gothic for sure. I'm not going to have a high collar though, I don't like to feel choked.
I watched Sleepy Hollow last night, and I got the idea from this dress:

Sleepy Hollow Gown

I can't find a good picture of the whole dress, but it is awesome. here are some dresses I found in a google search that I might use as inspiration:

I know I don't want the bustle to be huge, because I want to be able to wear this as a formal dress, and not just a costume. I'll post more updates about this project later.
